During the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. As the teams took to the
field for the all-important toss, Hardik Pandya, leading his side with the confidence and flair he is
known for, was met with an unexpected reaction from the crowd. The moment Pandya stepped
up for a toss, a wave of boos echoed around the stadium, a sound no player wishes to hear,
especially in a tournament that prides itself on the spirit of cricket and sportsmanship.

Reacting to this, Sanjay Manjrekar ( commentator ) asked the crowd to ‘ behave ‘ as the crowd
was heavily chanting Rohit Sharma’s name ( MI’s former captain) when Manjrekar called
Pandya’s name.

Eventually, RR won the toss and elected to bowl first. MI lost 3 early which led Pandya’s on the
crease early. Hardik scored 20 runs in just 10 balls which turned the booing crowd into his
supporters. Hardik scored a total of 34 runs in 21 balls with a striking rate of 161.90. Pandya
also turned out to be the highest run-getter for Mumbai Indians.
At the end of the match, RR won the match by 6 wickets ( 27 balls left )
